Letters from the Miami Five
Rock around the Blockade has been proud to receive the following postcards and letters from the Miami Five.

October 24, 2002
Dear friends:
I received the latest issues of Viva Cuba and Fight Racism! Fight Imperialism!, both of which I appreciate very much. They are packed with interesting news and articles on issues not commonly found in mainstream media.
The article on the front page of Viva Cuba regarding our case is very comprehensive and includes very encouraging news about the campaign in solidarity with our case.
There is no doubt in my mind that the struggle of the Cuban people along with the solidarity of many friends and honest people around the world will make truth and justice prevail. You can count on my gratitude for your solidarity the same way that you can count on my decision to stand strong, resist and defend the right of our people to prevent the terrorist attacks organised and financed in the US against Cuba.
We?ll keep fighting this unjust imprisonment with the certainty that truth is on our side and justice will prevail.
Hasta la victoria siempre!

Dear comrades of Rock around the Blockade and their supporters.
To receive your letter and the pages of your website with details of your activities in support of our release is an immense honour and encouragement.
José Martí said: "Great things cannot be done without great friends". We have in England great and courageous friends who do many things in defense of the Cuban Revolution and in support of just causes around the world.
VIVA LA SOLIDARIDAD! [Long live solidarity!]
VENCEREMOS! [We will win!]
Thank you for your great friendship!
A big fraternal hug. Antonio Guerrero

Dear friends:
It is with a deep feeling of gratitude that I received your latest mailing which included the pages of your website with details of the pickets of the US Embassy in London as part of the campaign for our freedom.
When I look at the photographs of the picket I feel the need to stretch my arm and shake hands with each and every one of the participants carrying the banner, the signs with our names and addresses, or the letters to form the message "Free the Miami Five".
The struggle continues and I know that we can count on the friends at Rock around the Blockade the same way that you can count on our decision to resist and to fight until the final victory.
My deepest gratitude to the friends at Rock around the Blockade.
No injustice and no power will ever defeat the power of our moral values. They will prevail not only in our case but also in history.
Hasta la victoria siempre!

Dear Comrades:
I am deeply touched with all the beautiful job you are doing in defending our Cause.
On behalf of my four brothers and myself, please receive our deepest gratitude and the assurance of our eternal loyalty by your side, in defending all the just causes of the World. In us, you can find a comrade willing to fight any battle against injustice, imperialism, and exploitation.
Thank you for spreading out the information about our case all over the word, and the successful pickets you are holding in favour of our freedom. I appreciate a lot the photos you sent me, because now solidarity have its faces and I'm collecting them in an album.
Your solidarity and support is an honour and privilege that we will defend with our own lives.
Fraternally;
Ramón Labañino Salazar.

Dear friends:
Thank you so much for your letters and all the materials included in each mail. Yes,
I had received before a copy of Fight Racism! Fight Imperialism! and today I received No.
167, the issue of June/July, which also included an article and photograph on the picket of the U.S embassy in London.
I truly appreciate all you do for us and for Cuba. I also appreciate your kind words regarding our attitude and your commitment in the struggle for our release.
I am aware that we have many friends in England who are working hard in spreading the word about our case and doing everything they can to put an end to the injustice done not only to us five but to the Cuban people.
I enjoyed all the materials sent by Rock around the Blockade; the leaflet, the two brochures, the photographs of the picket and both copies of the pages of the website.
My gratitude for your solidarity and commitment to our release.
Hasta la victoria siempre!
